HOW I GOT STARTED
My massage journey started on whim. Someone close to me shared that I wasnt very good at massage (I know can you believe it) and my type A personality was determined to prove them wrong! I quickly realized that I loved the massage world. I was amazed at how my hands could help change and in some cases heal another person. Being able to use my hands create real change that is measurable and obtainable is impressive. The ability to increase circulation and release tension on one's muscles and joints. To be able to help someone reduce their stress and help an individual reclaim some happiness in their lives is what makes massage worth it for me as a therapist. As a nurse, I see people sometimes at their worst and I know that while modern medicines can help to alleviate pain and conditions, it is not the only thing answer. I believe in using my skills as a massage therapist to help create a holistic approach to compliment what an individual is using to treat aliments and chronic conditions.
I have worked as a nurse for the last 14 years (and counting) and I have worked in healthcare for 28 years and counting! I have been a massage therapist for 8+ years. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family including my fur-babies. I am a mother of 6 wonderful, successful, and amazing children. I have lived in Pennsylvania my entire life. I grew up in Delaware County and moved to Montgomery County in 1999. I'm not a fan of Winter but love Fall and Spring. I love to cook, bake, write poetry, and garden. I love to teach and enjoy being a CPR instructor in addition to my many other talents.
